About

Linda Nurk’s work, spanning silk, performance, and film, explores a delicate balance between humans, vegetation, and living creatures. Seeking to redefine ethical production, Linda began urban micro-farming, focusing both practically & metaphorically on the silkworm's lifecycle and raw silk. Combining experimental methods with a poetic and abstract vision she aims to create wearable conversations moving between life, environment & re-birth.
A diverse industry background including roles at Givenchy, Alexander McQueen, and Chanel, has made Linda a sought-after creative consultant and educator. Commissioned for couture pieces for Royal Weddings, she shifted from luxury fashion to complete a Master in Fine Arts in Craft at Konstfack to focus on artistic research combining textiles, mixed media and performance art.

Linda Nurk has showed her work at London Design Festival, Sven-Harrys Konstmuseum, Tartu Museum and recently at Kulturhuset during Stockholm Craftweek.

Her work is represented in Public collections of The Swedish Textile Museum, Nacka Public art collection and  The Future Materials Bank at Van Eyck Academie.
